Hi, I'm Bailey Hodgson

🎓 MEng Eletronic & Software Engineering from the University of Glasgow, 2025📍 Scotland, UK💬 Nice to meet you! I'm Bailey, a software engineer currently based in Scotland. This page holds a list of my work experience, projects and other fun things I've worked on. There's some useful links attached to most of them if you want to know more! Intelligent Mixed Reality Museum Exhibits

[Developer] [2024 - 2025]• Undertaken as my Masters Project in collaboration with the ICE Research group at the University of Glasgow.
• I set out to create and evaluate an intelligent mixed reality application for the campus museum.
• I utilized tools such as Unity and ChatGPT to investigate the viability of large language models within digital exhibits.
• The application was viable and showed promising results in improving museum interactivity.

Machine Learning for NEGF Simulation

[Developer] [2023]• Undertaken as part of my pre-4th year summer internship.
• I was a developer working on an ML model for accelerating NEGF simulations and a simulator for RRAM devices.
• I gained proficiency in libraries such as PyTorch and NumPy over the course of this employment.
• We were able to closely approximate NEGF simulations, potentially cutting down on the lengthy process to run the simulation.
• Alongside this, our RRAM simulator made decent progress and was passed on to other students once the internship ended.

The Ellisland Minecraft Project

[Project Lead] [2022]• This project was undertaken by the student society I founded in collaboration with the Games & Gaming research lab at the university.
• We worked to recreate poet Robert Burns farm in the video game “Minecraft”.
• In the role of project lead, I worked to ensure the key stakeholders were satisfied with the project and kept informed of our progress as we went along.

UofG Nerd Collaboration

[Event Lead] [2023 - 2025]• I helped setup a collaboration of societies at my University, based off a previous similar group.
• We streamlined our event process, and successfully hosted ceilidhs, quizzes, karaokes and more for 200+ attendee's
• We also worked to create resources such as an accessibility guide to local pubs and bars, and a list of all major world holidays.

Treats & Eats and Londis Shop

[Waiter & Staff] 2019 - 2025• I've been working at the shop and formerly the tea room as a summer job.
• With retail work, you get the opportunity to converse with hundereds of people throughout the day, and I feel confident in my ability to talk and engage with people.
• It can also be a high-stress environment during the busy summer months, and as a result I can navigate high workloads under pressure with ease.
